One of my favorite activities to do Thanksgiving weekend is to go hiking. The air feels both crisp and damp and it cleanses the senses. I had the good fortune of going on a hike with this wonderful family on Ring Mountain in Corte Madera. The bright blue sky was a perfect backdrop for the spectacular views of the bay and of Mount Tamalpais. The two older girls charged up the mountain and could barely contain themselves long enough for a few photos because they wanted to explore to their hearts’ delight. It was a truly great morning gathering pine cones, picking the last remaining wild blackberries, and tasting Anise seeds straight from the source.
