Unraveling of Spring

While the plum blossoms and daffodils have come and gone there are other abounding signs that Spring is here. With such a mild winter it feels unfair to be so excited about the coming of longer days and warmer weather but alas, I am. I’ve been spending many afternoons with my children planting vegetables and watching nature awaken in our garden. We sit on large rocks next to our orange tree as Lucas and Sofia vigorously eat away at the tender flesh of the tree’s offspring. My youngest doesn’t understand why we can easily enjoy this succulent fruit but not also pick the small hard figs that are starting to appear on the tree nearby. Happy Vernal Equinox to you!

Family Portrait: Amongst the Redwoods

Lets climb the mound of mulch. . . lets cross the stream on a slippery log. . . lets play with a ball in the wet grass. This friendly family was open to anything I proposed. Although this was their first formal photo shoot ever they were at ease in this nature filled setting. My time with this special trio flew by.
